Paraffin wax for Candle Making comes in two types, Fully-refinned paraffin and Semi-refined paraffin, both with different grades (melting points). The candle type you want to make determines which paraffin to be applicable.
Paraffin wax contains oil. The lower the melting point of the paraffin wax, the more oil content in it. Paraffin of low melting point is applicable for making Container Candles like Tea-light Candles and Votive Candles, and that of high melting point is applicable for making free-standing candles like normal lighting candles and taper candles.
