After being coated, the waxed candle wick (Click Here) is moved to the Wick Cutting Machine, where the wick is cut to a selected length and the safety tab (or sustainer tab) is crimped onto the end. The machine is automatic. Wick feed, crimp, and cut are all done in one operation. When there is a defect in the wick or tab, the machine stops automatically.
